Due to climate change and the rise of temperature, Sydney basin is becoming too hot for the beetle to inhabit comfortably. We have discovered more and more Elm leaf beetle infestation cases in the Blue Mountains since 2017, as Blue Mountains becoming warm and more idea habitat for the Elm leaf beetles.
